The Hamstring Curl is an exercise that aims to strengthen the hamstring muscles, known as the hamstring muscles. These muscles are located in the back of the thigh and include:
Biceps femoris (long head and short head)
Semitendinosus
Semimembranous
The main movement is a bending of the knee, during which the heel is brought closer to the buttocks. Depending on the equipment and body position, there are different variations of the Hamstring Curl.
